May 19: Live First Pages Panel with Agent Saba Sulaiman

Join us for a supportive, fun first pages panel with agent Saba Sulaiman. Submit your first page for a chance at live feedback from Saba and our panel–plus, of course, a publishing Q&A. This event is designed to be supportive, uplifting, encouraging–and 100% introvert-friendly. (Wear pajamas! We’ll never know.)

A replay will be available 15 minutes after the end of the event, and we’ll send the link to submit your work when we register. This event will work on your smartphone, tablet, or laptop.

This event is open to all genres.

Pages will be drawn at random, and we will get through as many as we can. Can’t make it live? A  replay will be available at the same link.

Saba Sulaiman is an agent at Talcott Notch Literary Services, a boutique agency located in Milford, CT. She holds a BA from Wellesley College and an MA from the University of Chicago, where she studied modern Persian literature. She is looking primarily to build her Middle Grade and Young Adult lists, and is particularly interested in contemporary realistic stories. She’s also open to category romance (all sub-genres except paranormal), literary, upmarket, and commercial fiction, tightly plotted, character-driven psychological thrillers, cozy mysteries à la Agatha Christie, and memoir. Being a first generation immigrant who is constantly negotiating her own identity and sense of belonging in a place she now calls “home,” she is committed to highlighting more diverse voices with compelling stories to tell; stories that demonstrate the true range of perspectives that exist in this world, and address urgent and often under-explored issues in both fiction and non-fiction with veracity and heart.
