About Mona
Drawn to the imaginative challenges of content creation, Mona spent 25 years designing, writing, and producing non-fiction media for broadcast, non-broadcast, print, and the web. She became a producer through writing. She helped define audiences and matched the message to the medium for, among others, The Human Genome Project, Weston Woods, several of the Discovery Channels, and PBS. Her work won top national awards.

Before she was a producer, she was a librarian at the Boston Public Library. Trained at the Simmons MSLS program, she attended the inaugural semester of the Center for the Study of Children’s Literature and later managed a boutique book shop in Washington, DC. Throughout her careers, she’s sought to forge connections—between the reader and text, between trust and the collaborative process, between content and true emotion. She believes in the power of books to create more empathic human beings and is thrilled to be focused on the literary arts now.
