Karmen Cook

The History Press

My Manuscript Wish List®

I’m a nonfiction acquisitions editor focused specifically on history titles in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. My particular historical interests lie in the food, ethnic heritage and true crime categories, but I am always looking for history titles across the spectrum. Civil War to company histories, and everything between!

In my spare time I love writing, cooking and taking walks. I’ve created a blog called Widows & Orphans Publishing connection to aid in the reversal of confusion that might occur sometimes between authors and editors.

Fun facts about me:

  • My dog’s name is Kayjay–Karmen Jr.
  • My favorite colors alternate between jade green and lavender purple.
  • In my senior year of high school I was recognized as one of the top 40 cheerleaders in the state of GA.
  • I LOVE cooking.
