I’m Kacie Newport, owner of BAM Management. BAM is a full service bi-coastal talent management company that reps both actors and authors.

If your work is bold, dark, and unapologetically real, I want to see it. I’m here for activism-driven books, particularly fat liberation, LGBTQ+ rights, and body diversity. I love female empowerment, body liberation, and queer stories—especially those centering queer women and bisexual individuals. Give me accessible activism, nothing overly academic or dense; I want work that speaks to people, not at them.

I’m drawn to memoirs that break the mold—but only if they touch on fat liberation or feminism. I thrive on experimental and strange projects, so if it’s pushing boundaries in a smart way, I’m in. That said, I’m not into anything graphic or faith-based.

Given my background in film/TV, I may be open to projects in that space. When it comes to romance, dark and steamy is the only way I roll—nothing lighthearted or fluffy. I want queer, female-led romance or dark, brooding men. No tropes, no clichés—just raw, emotional, and intense storytelling. Please although I like it darker, I do not want anything pornographic. I don’t want to feel dirty

I’m also interested in adult graphic novels, gift books, and activity books—but they need to be unique. If it’s quirky, darkly comedic, or unexpected, I’m here for it. Pop culture is on my radar too, but it has to be different and exciting.

I’m open to many voices but best suited for women, non-binary, trans, and other marginalized creators. When it comes to discussions of racial injustice, I’m especially looking for intersectionality with fat liberation or queer voices.

What I’m NOT a fit for:

❌ Conservative-leaning projects—I’m Team Bernie all the way.

❌ Traditional literary novels.

❌ Anything religious (unless it’s exposing how culty they are).

❌ Weak female characters or overused tropes.
