Actively acquiring for two imprints: Cleis Press and Viva Editions. For Cleis Press, a premier publisher of sexuality books and LGBTQ+ stories, I’m seeking nonfiction books about sexuality, contemporary and historical erotica, and LGBTQ+ nonfiction. For Viva Editions, a publisher of mind, body, and spirit nonfiction, I’m seeking books that enlighten and inspire, particularly those that highlight marginalized voices and women’s empowerment.

Submission Guidelines

For Cleis Press:

Digital proposals should be emailed to acquisitions@cleispress.com. In the body of the email, please submit a query letter or proposal, an author bio, a list of previous publications, and the first chapter of the book. Please also attach the full manuscript in either MS Word or PDF format, if available. If you would like to submit to the next Best Women’s Erotica of the Year, submit here. Due to the volume of submissions that we receive, we regret that we can only respond if we are interested in seeing more, usually within 8-10 weeks. Please do not call in regard to manuscript submissions.

For Viva Editions:
