Connie Panzariello

I have a B.A. in Theater and Film from Bennington College and a M.A.. in Film and Television Producing from Royal Holloway University of London. Upon returning to New York, I discovered that I’d rather be in the book world (although I’m still a film/television/pop culture junkie) and I joined Janklow & Nesbit in 2017. Previously I had been in the books division at Abrams Artists Agency and interned at The Carol Mann Agency, as well.  My interests include upmarket women’s fiction, literary fiction, memoir, essays (especially if they are pop culture focused), thrillers, narrative non-fiction, historical fiction, true crime, YA and journalism. I also like fantasy if it’s very female focused, diverse or has a period/historical element to it.

In terms of fiction I am looking for books like SWEETBITTER by Stephanie Danler, SOCIAL CREATURE by Tara Isabella Burton, and NEON IN DAYLIGHT by Hermione Hoby. I like anything that contains a good female focused coming of age tale and a story with a good twist and a dark edge. That being said, I love to laugh so if there’s humor, dark or otherwise, that’s great too. For YA, I gravitate towards Sarah J. Maas, Cassandra Clare, Libba Bray and now Claire LeGrand because I’m reading FURYBORN and it is great.

For non-fiction, my tastes stray towards pop culture, and good historical narratives but I will read/watch anything with true crime so I’m interested in that as well.

I also love a good ghost story and anything at all to do with witches.
