I’m looking for YA, middle grade, and chapter books in most genres — I like reading and working on a wide variety of books, and I am actively seeking diverse characters, authors, and stories. I tend to like more commercial books that I can’t stop reading and aren’t bogged down by heavy description.

My wish-list includes:

• Contemporary friendship and coming-of-age stories (like Roller Girl and This One Summer — though I’m not looking for graphic novels!, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants)
• Contemporary romance in YA (like Rainbow Rowell, Stephanie Perkins)
• Fresh/unexpected and accessible fantasy and magic (like Graceling, Maggie Stiefvater’s Raven Cycle, Neil Gaiman, Marissa Meyer’s Lunar Chronicles)
• Quirky mysteries with a relatable narrator (like Veronica Mars, Kirsten Miller’s Kiki Strike books, The Westing Game)
• Humor (like Louise Rennison’s Georgia Nicolson books; Better Nate Than Ever)
• For chapter books, fun series with great characters/high concept (like Geronimo Stilton, Clementine)

I am NOT looking for stories that involve fake (or real) celebrities, anything involving angels, or very serious “issue” books.
