I’m always chasing that feeling of being completely swept up in a story – the kind you think about long after you’ve closed the book. I love the kind of SFF that reads like a love letter to the genre, but also books that are ambitious enough to push at the edges of what commercial SFF can be. I want books you can’t wait to recommend, future cult classics, and books where readers will want to come back to their dog-eared copy year after year.

I’m drawn to stories that balance strong emotional arcs with inventive ideas and immersive worlds. I love character-driven fantasy with moral complexity, epic fantasy with sweeping scope and consequence, historical fantasy with a twist, and fantasy romance where the magic and the love story are equally vital. I’m excited by fresh takes on urban fantasy and speculative worlds built around murders, mysteries and heists. In science fiction, I’m looking for high-concept, accessible stories and books with the momentum of a thriller.

I’m looking to build a varied list across the genre, and always hoping to fall in love with something unexpected.
