My Manuscript Wish List

These days I’m hungry for more LGBTQIA+ and diverse romance!

In Adult Market:

  • I’m particularly interested in contemporary and historical romance stories featuring persons of color in intercultural relationships, same-sex relationships, featured in small-town contemporary romances and historical romance set in 19th Century America or the Caribbean. Am looking for the next Latinx Beverly Jenkins!
  • More sports romance stories featuring diverse cast. Prefer POC or queer main characters getting their HEA while being amazing at their non-traditional sports: lacrosse, extreme sports, mixed martial arts, rodeo, rugby, gamers, etc.
  • Historical Romance featuring Latinx characters in 19th Century America (North, South, Central) or the Caribbean. Beverly Jenkins meets Junot Díaz over café con leche in 19th Century Havana.
  • Also looking for hard science fiction romance (space opera, interplanetary adventure with a romance story at its core).
  • Would love to see more sex-positive, feminist erotica and erotic romance with healthy and accurate depictions of BDSM lifestyle and kink communities.
  • Dying for some thrilling romantic suspense that keeps me at the edge of my seat and takes my breath away.
  • Am always looking for more erotic romance and sweet romance stories featuring characters who identify as “queer”
  • I’m also seeking young adult and new adult GLBTQ titles regardless of a romantic element. (But I love a good love story so if it happens to also be a romance, even better!)
  • Queer Indiana Jones – A YA story featuring a queer MC who goes on an adventure in the style of Indiana Jones movies; Juliet Takes a Breath meets Indiana Jones.
  • Battle mages in space! I know, sounds crazy but if you can pull it off, it’s going to be epic!
  • Dragon shifter falls in love with his gargoyle protector.
  • Blue Lagoon meets The Martian.
  • 50 First Dates meets Groundhog’s Day – Romantic Comedy where one MC loses memory and other has to do everything they can to get them to remember them and fall in love with them every day. Prefer POC as main characters. Even better if it’s same sex.
  • Coming To America with a twist. Hidden Prince falls in love with a commoner man now has to convince royal family to accept their union and not lose each other in the process.

In the Young Adult market:

  • I’m only looking for LGTBQIA+ fiction in the YA market and the main character must identify as queer.
