My Manuscript Wish List

My taste is pretty eclectic, so if you’re unsure, query me anyway! I’m currently seeking:

  • SFF
  • Upmarket, “Book Club” fiction
  • Character-Driven Historical
  • Thrillers with female STEM protagonists
  • Young Adult and Middle Grade with authors/main characters who have a unique perspective
  • Women’s Fiction (especially from marginalized voices)

Fun facts about me:

I used to be a zookeeper and have worked with all types of animals from a feisty snow leopard to a rambunctious cassowary. The exotic cats were my favorite to work with. I LOVE cats.

I am a quiet but hardcore feminist. Like “hairy-legged, down with the patriarchy, screw shrink and pink marketing, free the nipple,” hardcore.

When I was six, I saw a unicorn. To this day not sure what it was, but am unicorn-obsessed.

Doctor Who is my jam. Eleven my favorite. I might have named my daughter Amelia because of Pond.

I have lived in three different countries and traveled in over 20 in five of the seven continents. I’ve seen the poorest and richest sides of humanity of all colors, and I understand ignorance, but I have no tolerance for close-mindedness.

My partner is a Mexican immigrant. Stories that blend cultures, especially in the kid-lit space have a special place in my heart.
