• I love atmospheric stories where setting feels like a character, or something that has magical realism

• Books geared towards a younger YA audience: I’m looking for books for 14-15 year olds that don’t center romance. I’m open to lots of different genres–fantasy, mystery, horror–as long as the focus is on a younger YA audience

• Gothic stories—gothic romance, gothic horror. Something that inspires me to wander old houses at night with a candelabra

• Horror and thrillers! I love so much within the horror genre that it’s hard to narrow it down. I would love to see more werewolf stories though.

• Character-driven stories–this is something I look for within any genre

• Family dynamics and the complexities within them. Also found family!

• I am a big fan of rom-coms and I’d love to see something fandom-based.

• Epic fantasy is harder for me to get into, but I do love cozy, small-cast fantasy. Something with Studio Ghibli vibes would be great, fairy tale retellings with a twist, or something low-stakes and comforting.

• Within all of these genres, I prioritize LGBTQ+, BIPOC, disability, and other marginalizations. I’d love to publish more books with the intersections of these identities.
