Hi there, I’m Shelly Romero! I am Honduran American, a 2020 Publishers Weekly Star Watch Honoree.
I was most recently the Lead Editor at Cake Creative and I previously worked as an associate editor at Scholastic, where I acquired and edited projects such as Last Gamer Standing by Katie Zhao, Join The Club, Maggie Diaz by Nina Moreno, and The Witchery by S. Isabelle.
Since joining the industry, my priority has been to publish books predominantly by and about BIPOC creators that showcase the range of our stories.
Outside of publishing, I love attending concerts, playing video games, and planning my yearly trips to Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights.
