Hello! I’m an associate literary agent with P.S. Literary Agency. I was previously an editorial assistant at Orbit Books UK (science fiction, fantasy and horror) and Bloomsbury (non-fiction).

I represent fiction and non-fiction primarily in the adult space, with select YA and crossover fiction. I’m drawn to stories that embrace genre conventions and tropes from a fun, fresh angle.

Adult Romance

I’m interested in most subgenres of romance, particularly stories that feature:

• Witty, fast-paced dialogue, in the vein of Emily Henry and Ali Hazelwood
• Neurodivergent and/or queer protagonists, especially ace-spec (e.g. Act Your Age, Eve Brown)
• Sports, especially if it examines athletes/fans and their relationship to sport
• A strong romance plot in a speculative setting (e.g. The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy and Ocean’s Echo)
• Complex, emotion-driven romance that digs deep into themes of desire, like Tiffany Reisz and Tia Williams

Note: while different heat levels work for different books, nothing is “too low” or “too high” for me.

Adult SFF/Horror

• Romantasy with strong fantasy and romance elements – it needs to have solid worldbuilding and plot as well as off-the-charts chemistry.
• Epic fantasy with big worldbuilding, high stakes, and characters to get invested in
• Cozy fantasy – I would love a Ghibli-esque book that deals with big emotions and themes in a cozy setting.
• Science fiction and science fantasy with high genre elements (e.g. Gideon the Ninth, Some Desperate Glory)
• Gothic horror, space horror, folk horror, psychological horror, supernatural horror – scare me!

Adult Fiction

• Upmarket thrillers that use an engaging thriller premise to explore personal/social issues – The Echo Wife and When No One is Watching are two of my all-time favourite books.
• Mystery thrillers that explore or investigate a transgression in the fictional world. Who does it impact, and how? What is justice? Think A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, Nothing Can Hurt You, My Flawless Life and Jackal.
• Contemporary fiction that gets a little weird, like the virgin birth of Small Pleasures and the animal illness of Shark Heart

YA Fiction

• Contemporary
• Romance (contemporary or speculative)
• Fantasy
• Thrillers and mystery thrillers

Adult Non-Fiction

I’m open to a range of non-fiction, including cookbooks and food writing, sports, pop culture, music, psychology, lifestyle, wellness, and narrative non-fiction. I’m interested in non-fiction topics that are approached from a specific, unique perspective.

I’m not currently looking for:

• mystery (unless it has strong speculative or thriller elements)
• crime
• noir
• military romance
• celebrity/rockstar romance
• fictional stories inspired by real-world crimes
