OPEN TO QUERIES – PLEASE FOLLOW MY GUIDELINES.

Mindi St. Peter is the Senior Literary Manager for BAMbooks, the literary division of BAM Management, a full-service talent management company. She represents authors who make her laugh, cry, or sleep with the lights on—sometimes all three. She’s been married to an engineer for twenty years (which absolutely deserves a medal) and lives with her doodle, Maisy, and her dragon, Thomas the Tinysaur—who, much to her chagrin, has more followers than she does.

Mindi also has two daughters—one in college and one in high school—who serve as her unofficial YA advisory board (because let’s be honest, teens always know best). Her biggest reading times are December and summer, though she’s rarely without a book in hand. Please don’t bother her in October (she’s watching/reading all the scary things) or December (she’s baking and binging Hallmark movies).

She is currently seeking graphic novels, MG, YA, NA, literary fiction, horror, supernatural romance, fantasy where she can pronounce the character names, and anything funny. She also loves Hallmark-style romances and cozy Scottish mysteries. She’s not looking for psychological thrillers, memoirs (unless they’re pop culture or entertainment-based – then she definitely wants to see them), self-help, or hard sci-fi.

Mindi is drawn to stories with heart and humor—romcoms, frenemy romances, romantasies with swoon-worthy stakes, and good literary fiction with all the feels. She appreciates the wit of Janet Evanovich, the imagination of Jim Butcher, and a healthy dose of sarcasm. Current obsession: Fourth Wing.

Fun facts about me:

I have two teen daughters and a bonus daughter – my poor husband is screwed

I have a bearded dragon named Thomas and a Labradoodle named Maisy

My favorite thing to do is read whilst floating on a raft in my backyard pool or sitting under an umbrella at the beach

I have lived in four countries and seven states

I play with LEGO, cooking, scrapbooking and cross-stitching, and I love Star Wars, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and anything Marvel.

I spend all of October watching horror movies and reading scary stuff. I revel in it. Do not bother me in October. LOL

I read most the queries in December and during the summer months. Sorry – that’s just when I seem to have more time to read. Most of my authors come through referrals from other authors, but I have been known to pick up a few authors through Writer’s Day Workshops, as well. QueryTracker is the best way to send your chapters – please don’t email me as I don’t respond to email queries.

Submission Guidelines

Please send first three chapters and proposal through QueryTracker. Make sure the book falls under my requested genres and that you have an industry referral. All others will be deleted.

Please do not send anything you have already independently or self-published – I will look it up and if it is already out there, I will delete your email and stamp my foot at you.

I am a slowpoke. Give me six months before you start prompting me. I want to give every author the best chance and my full attention. Thank you.
