I joined Little, Brown and Company in 2021 and I am actively growing a list of upmarket and literary-leaning horror, suspense, and speculative fiction. I’m drawn to fiction with a dark heartbeat and a daring or surprising structure. Above all, I look for an undeniable sense of voice. 

I’m looking for horror that is emotionally complex, visceral, unsettling, and psychologically acute, a la This Thing Between Us by Gus Moreno, When the Wolf Comes Home by Nat Cassidy, and The Troop by Nick Cutter. 

I love a daring, devilish, and irreverent novel like Motherthing, Milk Fed, The Compound, Bunny, and Maeve Fly. Give me something that smarts!

I’m drawn to speculative fiction that has a clear hook like Our Wives Under the Sea, Nightbitch, and I Who Have Never Known Men.

I have a particular soft spot for stories that are structured in non-traditional ways: Station Eleven, Martyr!, The Grip of It, Murder Bimbo, No One is Talking About This, and Pale Fire. I love when the form of the novel is made new.

I love literary page-turners anchored by voice and impeccable, sharp insight like Vladimir, Madwoman, or Mary Gaitskill’s Veronica

Right now, I’m especially interested in novels about obsession and grave mistakes.
