Desires:

At the moment, I’m actively building my cookbook and food writing list, and I want it all– think of me for everything from academic books about foodways to narrative-nonfiction about food history to unique and ambitious debut cookbooks. I am also searching for the next great piece of literary true crime; Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil was one of the first adult nonfiction books to grab me, and I’ll always be looking for books that compare favorably!

Bio:

Lauren MacLeod is a Nashville-based senior literary agent with Aevitas Creative Management. Lauren’s primary interests are cookbooks, food writing, narrative nonfiction, pop-culture, true crime, memoir, young adult fiction and nonfiction, and middle-grade novels. She serves on the Association of American Literary Agents board of directors, where she sits on the copyright and contracts committees and co-chairs the communications committee. Before joining ACM, she was named Vice President of The Strothman Agency. She graduated cum laude from Emerson College, receiving a BFA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing.
