My Manuscript Wish List®
Updated 1/5/26
I’m an associate agent actively building my list in adult fiction and nonfiction.Â
On the whole, I gravitate toward commercial genre fiction and am seeking to expand my list in that space. I’m drawn to big, messy feelings and characters screwing up over and over before succeeding. I’m craving intricately told stories—whether that be puzzle pieces or interpersonal drama or worldbuilding, I’m looking for many moving pieces. I’m also on the hunt for book club fiction that has speculative elements or fresh, young narrative voice.
I’m on the hunt for science fiction that is grounded and accessible (think clones, time travel, and space travel in the near-future), fantasies set in space with sci fi flavor, and book club fiction with speculative elements. Similarly, I’m looking for fantasies that are approachable and accessible in their world building, like alternate or mirrored historical or contemporary second world settings. I’d love to see fantasies based on non-Western mythologies/folklore and fantasies that are sweeping, epic dramas.
I’m also looking for mysteries that are closed circle or locked room and feature a hyper-specific setting like a theater or a train. Mysteries that blend genres are also welcome.
I’m also on the hunt for all flavors of horror. Evergreen on my list are layered, upmarket horror stories that are immersive and cloying, the kind that keep you up at night. I’d love to see fast-paced commercial horror that brings in thriller elements. Please send me horror-romances, monster romances, and gothic horror of all kinds.
In nonfiction, I’m drawn to enthusiastic expertise about niche topics across genres. I’d love to see projects like FROM HERE TO ETERNITY by Caitlin Doughty, YOU WERE BORN FOR THIS by Chani Nicholas, and THE RADIUM GIRLS by Kate Moore in my inbox.
I’m especially looking for stories from BIPOC and queer authors.
In Adult Fiction I’m looking for:
- Code breaking or puzzle solving based mysteries
- Inventive second world fantasy inspired by non-Western cultures or folklore
- Book club fiction with speculative elements
- Closed circle mysteries, especially if set in a theater or train and with bonus points for speculative elements
- Stories in specific, heavily atmospheric environments like the Arctic, Appalachia, or desert where the setting becomes like a character
- Adult Dystopians
- Stories inspired by Reality TV
- Horror-romance, monster romance, and gothic romance
- Supernatural and psychological thrillers
- Stories exploring the spirit world
- Stories with survivalist elements
- Femme gore and body horror
- Horrors about religious deconstruction and cults
- Romance subplots that heavily feature yearning
- Immersive second world science fiction
- Grounded, accessible science fiction
In Nonfiction, I’m looking for:
- Pop culture
- Pop science
- Occult/astrology/tarot (anything witchy!)
- Spiritual
- Food
- Cookbooks
- Health and wellness
I’m happy to consider projects that do not exactly match any of the above elements.
I am not a good fit for space operas, science fiction centering around AI, historical fiction about war, or procedural thrillers
Fun facts about me:
- I recently moved to the PNW! I’m fully obsessed with living here now. Playing the Twilight soundtrack on loop.
- I collect hobbies. I’m currently learning to knit.
