Fun facts about me:

I used to be a zookeeper and have worked with all types of animals from a feisty snow leopard to a rambunctious cassowary. The exotic cats were my favorite to work with. I LOVE cats.

I am a quiet but hardcore feminist. Like “hairy-legged, down with the patriarchy, screw shrink and pink marketing, free the nipple,” hardcore. This is the thread that connects the wildly different projects I represent and my eclectic client list. And I firmly believe feminism is intersectional.

I’m mostly private about it, but I’m pansexual. Strong warrior women make me swoon.

I identify as a green witch, and love to garden and bake.

I have lived in three different countries and traveled through 20+ in five of the seven continents. There are so many facets to humanity, and I know I’ve only grazed the surface. I hunger to know more, be exposed to more.

I grew up in a rural and poor area, a child of uber-progressive hippies in a conservative town, so I tended to be friends with other outcasts. I understand ignorance, but not close-mindedness and relate to characters who live in the forgotten margins. I know the struggle of having gaps in one’s education, and having to fight for intellectual respect because of how you grew up.

My partner is a Mexican immigrant, so my family and our close friends are bilingual/bicultural. Spanish is as common as English in my house and my circles. Stories that blend cultures have a special place in my heart.
