My Manuscript Wish List

Alix Reid

I’ve been a children’s book editor for over 15 years, first at HarperCollins Publishers, and now at Carolrhoda and Carolrhoda Lab, the trade imprint of the Lerner Publishing Group. I acquire and edit middle-grade and young adult fiction. I love books about smart kids, mysteries, and animal stories, and anything that has an original story and fantastic voice. I love working with new authors.

Fun facts about me:

The best non-paying job I ever had was during the summer before sixth grade when I got to shelf books in a library. I’ve had three golden retrievers, all rescues, although I don’t have any dogs right now. I love yoga but prefer to lie on the couch with a good book and a cup of coffee.
